Harry’s On Rand was established in the early 1960’s by Harry Mergenthaler Sr when he decided to turn his hobby of fixing cars into a business. The business was a small full service gas station with auto repairs done in the garages. It was an old fashioned family business. Harry, his 3 sons and his daughter ran the business as a real neighborhood type of gas station and auto repair that all the locals would come to.
In 1978, Harry passed away. His son Ken, who had worked with his father since the age of 16, took over the business. Ken and his wife Maria have been running the shop ever since. The same family values of honesty and integrity are still used today by Ken and his technicians.
Ken always stays on the cutting edge of auto repair technology by attending many seminars and classes throughout the year. He also subscribes to ALLDATA information service and NAPAFIX technical troubleshooting websites to keep up with the latest information regarding your specific vehicle make and model.
